The online Excel sheet editor where AI builds the sheet for you
Drop any file — Excel, CSV, PDF or a phone photo of a form. AI reads it and builds the sheet online, columns and types included. Your team then edits in the browser with autosave, history per field and permissions per column. No templates, no column mapping, no emailing files around.
Upload an Excel or CSV file before you sign up. No card needed. PDF and photo import included on the $120/user/year plan. From file to online sheet in three steps
-
01
Drop any file
Excel and CSV open straight away. PDFs and phone photos go through AI, which reads every page and builds rows and columns.
-

Edit together
Click a row to edit in the side panel. Each field saves when you leave it — no Save button, no collisions.
-
03
See every change
History per field shows the old value, who changed it and when. Restore anything.
Teams that edit the same sheet
Price lists
Sales and purchasing update one list.
Rosters and schedules
Many people, one source.
Data-entry projects
Several typists, no collisions.
Checklists
Status updates from the field.
Safer than emailing the file
No more "final_v3_edited.xlsx". One list, everyone editing, nothing lost.
- AI builds the sheet. Any file in — PDF, photo, messy Excel. Rows and columns out.
- AI Formula columns. A plain-English prompt in a column header fills every row.
- Autosave per field. No Save button to forget.
- History per field. Restore an old value if needed.
- Column permissions. Some people view, others edit, by column.
- Export when needed. Excel, CSV or PDF, if enabled.

Questions
Does AI really read a PDF or a phone photo of a form?
Yes. Trunao AI reads scanned and digital PDFs and photos of paper forms, extracts the rows, and suggests columns and types. You check what it flagged as uncertain. PDF and photo import is included on the $120/user/year plan.
Can several people edit at the same time?
Yes. Each field saves on its own, so people working on different rows or fields do not overwrite each other.
Is it the same as Excel Online or Google Sheets?
No formula grid. Trunao is a database: rows, typed columns, forms, permissions, history, AI import and AI Formula columns. The sweet spot is "many editors on structured data" — not calculated cells.
Can I get the data back into Excel?
Yes, export to Excel, CSV or PDF when export is enabled for the list. No vendor lock-in.
